MySurvey Paid Survey Panel Overview and Review

First time here? Before we dive in, a quick introduction.

I started this site several years ago as a way to share how and where I make money taking paid surveys. If you'd like to see the full list of sites I recommend, you will want to start here with my master list of paid surveys.

Along the way, I have also developed a love for saving money through cash back shopping and finding great online and offline deals. If you want to stay up to the minute on the hot new surveys, deals and great cash back finds, be sure to join us over on Facebook.
Overview

I think MySurvey was the second of third survey site I joined way back in 2004. Yeah, long time. They, like most of the other sites I talk about here, are a market research online survey site. You register, provide basic demographic information and, as your demographics match their survey needs, they will invite you to participate in paid surveys. Overall a very good site. I have found the longer I have been with them, the more surveys I get, the stronger the payments, etc. I also appreciate that they call out in their FAQs that surveys are for market research. That if you are searching around and reading articles about tons of money off surveys you're not getting the truth.

Countries Accepted
The main MySurvey panel is for panelists in the United States. However, they do have sister panels in:

Australia
(They also have a separate panel for Australian Males here)

Canada
MySurvey.ca
MySurvey.ca (French speaking)

Europe (all other countries)
Ireland

Asia
Hong Kong
Singapore
South Korea

Payment
When you take surveys with MySurvey you earn what they call "Market Points." You then can cash those Market Points in for cash (via a check), Paypal, gift cards or merchandise. Typically you can estimate that 1,000 Market Points = about $10.

Ages
Accepts panelists ages 14 and up.

Membership

MyView Survey Panel Review and Overview

First time here?
I'd recommend you start here with my master list of paid surveys.

Overview
MyView is a closed survey community. This means you can't just go to their site on your own and sign up. You have to sign up through an approved person. But you are in luck. I happen to be one of those and you can sign up through this site.

They offer surveys on a wide variety of topics including: Video gaming. Business. Family. Movies. TV. Books. Technology.

Countries Accepted

Right now they are accepting people in the United States and Australia (through this link) only. However, sometimes they open their panel to various other countries. In addition, they also have a special panel right now for men in the United States. So stop back in the future and I'll let you know if and when that changes.

Payment

For every survey you take, you earn "MyView Points" (MVPs). Even if you don't qualify for a survey, based on your demographics, you still earn MVPs. You can cash in MVPs for pre-paid Visa cards.

SurveySavvy Paid Survey Site Review

Alright, time to take another closer look at another one of the paid survey programs I have been with for quite some time.

Overview
SurveySavvy is a long-standing survey site that sends surveys out via email. Typical payment for surveys ranges from $2 to $5 per survey in most cases. However, I have seen them send out much higher paying surveys and trials as well. In addition, if you are qualified for a survey, they will have a link to it on their web site.

Countries AcceptedAll international countries accepted.

Payment
Cash (check). No minimum to cash out, you can request a check at any time.

Ages
18 and older.

Membership
It is free to join and be a member.

Referral Bonus
Don't forget that in addition, they have one of the most ethical and therefore, on many levels, rewarding referral program. What do I mean? I get nothing for you signing up. Zero. If you sign up right now and never do another thing with them, I won't ever see a penny. But if you get surveys and take them and earn money for yourself, they reward me each and every time. Same could apply to you. If you sign up and then have your friends and family sign up and they take surveys, you will also be rewarded.  So sign up with them, share the good news about how well you (hopefully) do and you will see some residual dollars coming back each time your friends and family take surveys.

Global Test Market Survey Panel Review and Overview

First time here?
I'd recommend you start here with my master list of paid surveys.
Overview
Global Test Market has been around forever. Well, forever in the survey world. But you knew what I meant, right? One of the best parts of this site is that they accept so many people from so many countries. Like many panels, they offer surveys on tons of topics and I get invites daily.

Countries Accepted
The main Global Test Market panel is for panelists in the United States. However, they do have sister panels in
all other international countries as well as offering specific panels in the following countries.
Australia
Austria
Denmark
Germany
India
Japan
New Zealand
United Kingdom

Payment
When you take surveys with Global Test Market you earn what they call "Market Points." You then can cash those Market Points in for cash, 1,000 points = $50 US dollars.

American Consumer Opinion Survey Panel Review

First time here?
I'd recommend you start here with my master list of paid surveys.

I’ll start off with American Consumer Opinion or ACOP.

Overview
American Consumer Opinion (ACOP) is one of the sites that I have been with the longest. I am pretty sure I signed up with them back in 2002. Most of the time, they will invite you for their surveys via what they call survey screeners. While other sites can have screeners that can be long, unrewarding (read: uncompensated) and therefore annoying, I will say that without a doubt they are worth it on ACOP. Typically they are very short 4-6 multiple choice questions. Just by completing those you are entered to win cash drawings. And yes, you can actually win those. I have won anywhere from $10 to $100 in those drawings over the years.

It is those screeners that get you qualified for the actual paying surveys. So while it might feel odd to do a survey for “nothing,” remember that they are short and then when you get the real deal in your email you’ll know you are already qualified.

Payment
Cash (check).
If you live in the United States or Canada, they place your earnings in your account and you simply go there when you want and request a cash out. If you are outside those countries, they typically will send you your earnings in your local currency. If your country doesn’t allow that to happen, they will provide you with an American Express gift cheque.

Membership
It’s free to join and be a member.

Age
All ages accepted.

Countries Accepted
The best part? They accept panelist from ALL international countries!

But note that right now there are special panels for Germany, United States, Italy and Great Britain.

Overview
I just love SurveySpot. Probably because they are so prolific. There is almost always a survey to take from them. Most of their surveys earn you money, but occasionally you will see one for a sweepstakes entry.

Countries Accepted
Right now they are only accepting panelists from the United States.

Payment
You can cash out your earnings via payment from Paypal or shop their online store. In addition they do have sweepstakes and prize drawings.

Earn an Extra 10% cash back at JC Penney Today Only!

If you haven't joined Upromise yet, today is a great day to do so...but I'll get to that in a minute. Upromise is a cash back shopping site. Certainly, their preference is that you use it to save for you child (or other family member's) college or to use to help pay back your own student loans. But you don't have to.

I'll repeat...you can use Upromise even if you never plan to spend a penny of it on higher education costs. Like other cash back shopping site, you simply shop through Upromise and the money accrues in your account. Now if you want, you can set up a 529 savings account with them. But again, you don't have to.

Personally, I just send them a letter once a quarter and withdraw the money directly. It comes to you in the form of a check and you can use it how you like.

Their cash back rates tend to be comparable to other cash back sites but if you use their credit card, like I do, you can earn an extra money back as well.

For instance, today JC Penney is a featured retailer with them offering a whopping 10% cash back on all purchases!

Here's what you need to do to get the maximum amount back:

1. Start of by heading over to Upromise and signing up.
2. Then search for JC Penney.
3. Click on the link to head to the JC Penney site.
4. Shop away. Just remember that 10% of whatever you spend will be coming back to you.
5. But, don't forget...if you have the credit card you would also get 1% back (the reward on all purchases with the card) plus another 2% back for shopping with a Upromise retailer online.
6. Plus, you can add the coupon code THRIFTY to get $10 off any purchase of $25 or more.

Bottom line? Let's say you make a $25 purchase, get to take the $10 off, brining it to $15. Total? 13% cash back. After your cash back you would have only spent $12.75!

New paid survey came out tonight from Brand Institute

BRAND INSTITUTE
Just got an email from them a few minutes ago that they have a new paid survey available that pays $2. I realize that is a lower paying survey, but keep in mind that Brand Institute is one of those that often will follow up for future higher paying surveys..! It starts with a quick screener to see if you qualify and they, if you do, will lead to the full survey.

Good luck everyone!

$4 in SurveySavvy surveys now available

Just received two new emails from SurveySavvy that they have 2 new surveys out that pays $4 total.

How you can save an extra 6% with Groupon (hint: MrRebates)

So I wrote a week or so ago about how you can get cash back on your Groupon purchases by using cash back shopping. (At that time I was talking about ebates who offer 3% cash back).

But it gets even better. With MrRebates. Because they offer a whopping 6% cash back on all Groupon purchases.

Again, to reiterate what I said earlier, here is the skinny:

Haven't signed up for MrRebates yet? Well you should. It's free and you can jump right on in here.
Then, the next time you get a Groupon email that grabs your attention DON'T CLICK THAT LINK! Take a minute to go to MrRebates (have you bookmarked it yet? You should.) and just search for "Groupon." Click on that link and you're good to go...cash back coming your way!

Happy shopping (and saving).

Restaurant.com dropped to 80% off + cash back today

Love the day of the month when Restaurant.com drops their certificates to 80% off retail price! But it's always even sweeter when you can get cash back to sweeten the deal even more.

Here's what you need to do:
1. If you haven't already, sign up for MrRebates.com*. It is a free cash back site where you earn back, yes, in cash, a percentage of what you spend through various online sites. Totally free.

2. Then, once you have signed up, go to the left-hand side and search for Restautant.com.

3. Be sure to click on that link which will take you to the Restautant.com website. As long as you stay on there you will earn back, again, in cash 25% of whatever you spend.

4. Right now they are offering a deal using the code "STEAK" where you can get 80% off the price of  their gift certificates. If you took advantage of the deal I shared with you last week, you will have earned at least one $10 gift certificate. So you are starting with $10 in the bank.

5. So just to do the math. Here is what I did:
  • Bought one $25 gift certificate that sells for $15
  • Bought a second $25 gift certificate that sells for $15
  • You use the "STEAK" code for 80% off bringing those to $6
  • But I had that $10 burning a hole in my pocket, right?
  • So I went back and added a $50 Restaurant.com gift certificate that was $25. But the STEAK code works on that, too...so that was only $5.
  • Grand total? $11 (minus the $10 I had in credit)
  • I will then see $2.75 come back to my MrRebates account from the 25% cash back.
Meaning I came away with at least $100 worth of gift certificates (and I say at least as clearly I will be able to use that $50 certificate in similarly amazing ways in the future) and MADE $1.75 along the way.

But hurry, you only have until April 14 to jump on this!

Did you know you can earn cash back on Groupon purchases?

By now most people have heard of Groupon. It's the big guy in the online savings world. Where you buy a certificate, passes, service, etc. for greatly reduced prices.

Haven't signed up yet? Well you should. It's free and you can jump right on in here.

However, if you are already an avid Groupon user like I am I have another tip for you. You can save more than you already are with just one extra click.

Ebates, another one of my favorite cash back shopping sites will offer 3% cash back on all Groupon purchases. Earning the extra 3% is easy.

1. Be sure you have signed up for Ebates. It's free and takes just a minute (and there are tons more online retailers where you will also earn cash back).

2. Then, once again, if you haven't signed up for Groupon, be sure to do that. Also free.

3. Then you can do one of two things. Either watch for your daily Groupon email to come or head to Ebates directly. If you go the email route, just watch your email and when you see an offer you like, don't click it directly. Instead head to Ebates and click on the "Groupon" tab across the top.

Viola, easy as that. Whatever you purchase will earn you 3% cash back. Buy $100 in spa services? $3.00 back, just for clicking on it through Ebates.

Happy shopping (and saving).

Free Chips and Queso at Chili's

Nope, this doesn't have anything at all to do with surveys, but I have been hearing from my readers more and more that they appreciate any and all ways to save money. And this definitely qualifies. Print one of these off and just keep it in your wallet or purse. The next time you head to Chili's* the chips and queso can be on you. Happy snacking!

MySurvey has new surveys out

Have you joined MySurvey* yet? MySurvey was the second survey site I ever joined and I have consistently been paid by them for more than six years now. They have gone through some changes lately and I had seen surveys drop off, but they have been picking back up lately. Anyway, I received three surveys from them already this week, so it seemed a good time to give them a shout out. Good luck!

$3 SurveySavvy Survey came out today

Just received a new email from SurveySavvy* that they have a new survey out that pays $3.

Don't forget that in addition, they have one of the most ethical and therefore, on many levels, rewarding referral program. What do I mean? I get nothing for you signing up. Zero. But if you get surveys and take them and earn money for yourself, they reward me each and every time. Same goes for you. So sign up with them, share the good news about how well you (hopefully) do the same and you will see some residual dollars coming back each time your friends and family take surveys.

New $3 LiveWire survey - Live Link!

Just received the following survey opportunity from LiveWire.

LiveWire is looking for adults, age 25-64, to answer a paid survey about credit cards and banking. (We can include only one adult per household in this study. If more than one adult submits responses, we will only accept – and pay for – the first submission we receive.)

This survey is very short. It will take just a few minutes to participate. The site will remain accessible until the desired number of participants submit their responses. If you successfully submit your responses, we will pay you $3.

Also, there are several open ended questions in this survey. Your submission will be checked for quality. Failure to fully and meaningfully answer the open ended questions will result in your submission being rejected and your payment declined. We will not accept simple one word or non-descript responses.

You will find the survey at:

SurveySavvy has a new $1 survey out

I know that a $1 survey is not usually something by itself to yell about, but I have such good luck with entry level surveys leading to bigger and better things with SurveySavvy* that I wanted to mention it. What do I mean by that? Often lower paying surveys are almost a way of pre-qualifying for other bigger paying surveys down the road, so with companies like SurveySavvy, they are totally worth doing.

In addition, they have one of the most ethical and therefore, on many levels, rewarding referral program.
